ARRIVAL AT DARWIN
LEISURELY, 'AIR VOYAGE
SYDNEY,_ 19 th April. A message from Darwin states that Fairbairn and Shenstone, the university airmen, landed there from Timor at 4 p.m., Sydney time. The pair made a bumpy landing owing to a strong wind. I ' ' They left England on 19th February, and had a quiet, uneventful, and leisurely trip. Fairbairn is a Victorian, and the son of a wealthy pastoralist. Shenstone is an Englishman. They were cordially welcomed by the Government Resident.
A pair of Cambridge undergraduates, Fairbaim and Shenstone, have taken 60£ days for the journey frpm England to Australia. They had engine trouble in tho early stages of the journey*
