At Miramar Club on Saturday the competition for the captain's prize was held, the record entry of 99 players being received; 16 seniors and 10 juniors to quality and play off match play senior with junior. Black, during the week-end, did a GB.in the morning, 445342334, 32; 542524----455, 36. He was going well in the afternoon, but the rain spoiled matters, and the last two holes were not played out. At that stage ho required two 4's for a 67, bad holes in 4 it is true, but quite likely s's. Deadly putting was largely responsible for the good golf. The morning card won the bogey.
