Mr. and Mrs. .7. B. M.ncEwan, Fitzliorbort terrace, loft to-day for a trip to Kotorua and Auckland. Mrs. Gofl'o (Gisborne) is spending a few days with her brother, Captain Ilargreaves, Glenmoro street, before returning north after having attended the N.C.W. conference. Mrs. Savill, Hanmer Springs, was the guest of Mrs. Erie Riddiford, Orongoroiigo, for the week-end. Mrs. Prank Wall, Martinborough. visited Wellington last week. Mrs. E. M'Nair, Auckland, left on Saturday evening for Palmerston North, en route for her home, after attending' the N.C.W. meetings. Mr. and Mrs. John Agar, Tinakori road, have returned from a brief visit to Christehurch. Mrs. Frank Wilding, Christenurch, is the guest of Captain and Mrs. Westall, Horetaunga. Miss Lovcl-Smith, secretary of the National Council of Women, returns to Gliristchurcii this evening. Lady Norah Jellicoe returned to New Zealand from Australia by the Makura. Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Bretherton, who have been visiting friends in Wellington and the North, return to Christchurch this evening. Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Stott were among the passengers by the Makura, which arrived in Wellington this morning. Miss Effio Welcli, who has been, in Sydney for a.year or more, returned to New Zealand by the Makura, and will go on to Wanganui to-morrow. Mrs. T. W. Williams, Wellington, is a visitor to Auckland. Mrs. W. J. Phillips, Karori, has returned td Wellington, after a visit to Christehureh. Miss Nancye lo Cren, Christehurch, will take up her residence in Masterton shortly. Mrs. D. C. Peacock is a Wellington visitor to Christehurch. Miss Mabel Jollands, Wellington, is the guest of Mrs. M. A. Raymond, Tiniaru. The Hon. G. J. Smith and Mrs. Smith returned to Christehurch at the weekend. Lady Sidey has loft for a visit- to 'bunedin. Miss Jean Begg has left to pay a visit to relatives in Dunedin, and will spend a couple of days in . Wellington on her return in order to see her Wellington friends before she loaves for India.
