SHARP RISE IN EGG PRICES

A sharp advance in tho price of eggs in Wellington has taken place this week. Last Thursday they were Is 9d wholesale.for first-grade, full-size eggs, but pullets' and medium eggs were considerably less. Harris Bros., Ltd., Christchurch, report that at their weokly sale of guaranteed new-laid eggs, held on Tuesday, prices realised were: lion eggs, first grade (2oz or over), Is 7dj second grade (un!der 2oz), Is 4d.
