PARTNERS IN CRIME
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) MASTERTON, This Day. Percy Coleridge Mitchell, contractor, of Pc'ilmerston North, was sentenced at tho Court this morning to two mouths' imprisonment for the conversion of a motor-car to his own usu;\and Ernest George Dryden, an employee of Mitchell, jointly charged with Miteuoll, was sentenced to two months' imprisonment also. On throe charges of theft Dryderi was sentenced to six months on two charges and three months on the other, the sentences to bo concurrent.
A public meeting was called on Tuesday by tho Mayor of Petoiic (Mr. D. M'Kcnzie) to consider an offer made by the St. David's Horticultural Society to have tho society become a public body, as the St. David's Horticultural Society has been disbanded. As the attendance was small, no busines^ was done, and it was decided to adjourn the meeting indefinitely.
