EXPERIENCES DESCRIBED
United Tress AssociatiQii—By Electric Telo« graph—Copyright. (Received 2nd April, 8 a.m.) SYDNEY, Ist April. . Mr. F. C. Chichesler, the Wellington aviator, who is flying from New Zealand to Australia, made a successful flight from Norfolk Island to Lord Howe Island to-day. Lord Howe reported that the hop was successfully completed, the airman arriving at 4.37 p.m., Sydney time. In a special interview received from. Lord Howe Island, Mr. Ghiehester described his trip from Hew Zealand to, Norfolk Island as uneventful with a following wind. The anchorage- at Norfolk Island was the worst in the world and damaged his floats, which leaked ia to-day's flight to Lord Howe Island. There was a bumpy, strong north-easter and the machine vibrated violently. It Was imposible to guess the altitude. The anchorage at Lord Howe Island was ideal. He found the island very pretty. He is the guest of the Burns, Philp Company's agent. Ho hopes to resume his flight to Sydney to-morrow, weather permitting.
