DAMAGE AT DARWIN

SYDNEY, Ist April. The most extensive rains for 50 years aye being experienced in Australia. Heavy registrations are now being recorded in New South Wales, and floods are expected. A report from Darwin, states that the worst flood in the history of Eatherine Water, has risen two or three feet deep in the houses, while at Darwin considerable damage lias been caused by a willy-willy, trees being uprooted, buildings overturned, and roofs carried away. The weather.bureau in Sydney warns shipping in the central and southern areas of the Tasman to expect strong north-west winds, followed by squally south-easterlies and rough seas.
