IN THE MATTER of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and 'the Local Elections and Polls Act, 1925, XTOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the -^ Petone Borough Council proposes to. borrow by way of Special Loan the sum of Thirty-five Thousand Pounds (£35,000). It is proposed to establish and set aside, a sinking fund of One Pound (£1) per centum per annum in connection with such Special Loan. ■ It is proposed to pay out of the Loan the cost of raising the same, but no portion of the interest and sinking fund. (N.B.— Ratepayers will understand that the Council does not propose to raise the whole sum of £35,000 at once.
