EX-SYDNEY GIRL'S DEATH
PRESUMED SUICIDE
LONDON, Ist April. Mrs. Townsend, an ex-Sydney girl, who married a rich Chicago man, motored over a precipice near Nice, where she was staying with her husband and baby. It 'is believed that worry over eye trouble was responsible for the tragedy. The Nice correspondent of the "Daily Express" states tho police there believe that Do Chavannes, who is a descendant of the famous painter, may have been in the motor-car with Mrs. Townscnd. He was a close friend of hers.
