PETONE SCHOOL

Jn response to inquiries from Mr. ■Walter Nash, M.P., and Mr. D. M'Kenzie. Mayor of Petone, the Hon. H. Atmore, Minister' of Education, stated on Tuesday that tenders had been called for the addition to' the Petone Technical High School, and would close within one month. It was expected that the work would bo put in hand shortly after the closing date of tenders, and the new building would be completed before the end of the year. Ecplyiug to inquiries with regard to the new room for the special class in the Central School at Petone, the Minister statod that a tender had been accepted, and it was expected that the new room would bo completed before the end of May.
