Messrs. Murray, Roberts and Co. have received a cablegram from their London agents, giving closing rates at last series of London sales compared with those of January as follows:— March. January. Per Ib. Per lb. d. d. New Zealand merino, 00/G4's, ', yielding 48 p.c ..... 10% 794. Half bred, 50's, yielding 60 p.c. 10 7% Super crossbred, 50"s, yielding 65 p.c. 9 7% Medium crossbred, 44/46's, preparing yielding 74 p.c... 8M 6!6 Medium crossbred,- 44/46's, carding yielding 72 p.c. ... 7% 6 Coarse crossbred, 40/44's, yielding 73 p.c 754 5% Low crossbred, 36/40's, yield- - ing 75 p.c '.. 714 — Messrs. Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., and Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report having received cable advice from their London house regarding the London wool sales, reading as follows:—"Wool sales closed/ Average attendance of buyers. Market firm. Competition animated. Bradford buyers chief operators; 156,000 bales wool offer for series to date; 151,500 bales, wool sold for series to date. Selection good. Greasy merino', 10% d! fine halfbred, 10% d; halfbred,- 9%d; threoquarterbred, 9d; fine crossbred, B%d; medium crossbred, BJ/4d;8 J/4d; crossbred, 8d; coarse crossbred, TVzd; crossbred lambs, 9d. Sliped prices 7% per cent, higher. Australian merino prices 5 per cent, higher."
