WEDDINGS

The marriage was solemnised recently at St. Joseph's Church, Wellington, of Anne Frances, cldev daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Cooch, Wellington, and Andrew John; eldest son of Mr. ;in.l Mrs. 'J l. F. Costello, Wellingliui. Tlio Kc\". Fiilher J. Fletcher per-

formed the ceremony, and celebrated | tho Nuptial Mass. The bride, who was ] escorted by her father, wore a. fitting frock of parchment satin made with a bolero effect, and finished with a bow at the back of the neck. The flared skirt readied to the ground, and the bodice was caught up in front with a pearl ornament. Her long veil of Honiton lace was arranged with a half circle and sido clusters of orange blossoms, and she carried a bouquet of white roses and tiger lilies. The bridesmade, Miss Louise Cooch, wore a frock of apricot silk marocain, with long tight sleeves puffed above the elbow. The slightly pouched bodice was finished with a diamante ornament, and tho fully flared skirt was made with a hip yoke. Her large crinoline hat was worn well off tho face, and she, carried a bouquet of apricot roses and chrysanthemums. Mr. D. Donovan was best man. The bride was presented with a horse shoo of white heather by Mrs. Irvine. Mrs. Cooch wore a frock and coatee of navy silk marocain trimmed with Guipure lace, and a navy hat. Sho carried n bouquet of pink chrysanthemums. Mrs. Costelloe w.orc a frock and coat of black crepe de chine and a black hat, and her bouquet was of autumn tinted chrysanthemums. Tho bride travelled in a nut brown ensemble with hat to tone.

A wedding of interest in Salvation Army circles was solemnised recently at the Citadel, Vivian street, Brigadier Seotncy officiating. The bride jvas Sister May Craven, and the bridegroom Bandsman Howard Packer, both of the Wellington City Corps. . Miss C. Craven was bridesmaid, and Bandsman Alan Pike best man. All wore the' regulation Army uniform, the navy blue dresses of the bride and bridesmaid being relieved by cream georgette sashes. The bride wore a wreath of orange blossoms in her hair, and a spray on her shoulder. She carried a bouquet of cream roses, lilies, and asters. The bridesmaid's bouquet was of autumn tinted flowers. A small .flower girl, Joy Smith (Feilding), a cousin of tho bride, wore a dainty scalloped frock of blush pink satin with a coronet of flowers on her head. She carried a small pink posy. After the ceremony about 150 guests assembled in the Social Hall, where the tables were decorated in autumn shades. During the evening musical items were contributed by various friends. Mr. and Mrs. Packer left later.for a short motor tour.
