FIRE AT TE AWAMUTU

TE AWAMUTU, This Day,

A five-roomed dwelling owned by Mr. B. Bridgman and occupied by Mrs. Johnston was totally destroyed by fire at 2.30 this morning. Mrs. Johnston was in the dwelling at the time, and when she awoke the biick portion of tho house was well ablaze. She escaped through a window in her night attire. The brigade came promptly, but too late to save anything. The building was insured for £600 in the New Zealand Office and the contents for £200 in tho Victoria Office.
