Major S. C. P. NieholJs, D.5.0., who has been in charge of operations at Napier so far as tho military arc concerned since the early earthquake days, particularly in connection with tho Nelson Park Camp, will leave in tho morning on his return to Wellington. He was met by a large number of citizens to-night and was accorded a warm farowcTl.

For the first ten clays in Napier, Major Nicholls had a most strenuous timo, but his wonderful organisation soon produced order out of chaos.
