(Received 30th March, 10 a.m.)' SYDNEY, This Day. TJio River view Observatory seismograph recorded a sovere earthquak* about three thousand miles from Sydney on Saturday night- The record covered several hours. Tho location is not yet known. Tlie swing of the pen* was over six inches.
