FURTHER HONOURS
HINT OF FUTURE PLANS
WASHINGTON, 27th March. , Bear-Admiral R. E. Byrd received the Langley medal for aerodromics today; he was also elevated by M. Paul Claude!, French Ambassador, from Officer to Commander of the Legion of Honour. Admiral Byrd exhibited his usual titnidness at tho ceremony, and gave all the credit for his work to his shipmates. "There are several projects worthy of attention," said Admiral Byrd. "A flight from Siberia across the North Pole, for instance, or over the unexplored regions of the Argentine. Little America has many secrets wo must learn, but although I am shaping things up I am unable to reveal my exact plans. If I did I would bo flooded with requests from.men who would go with me." Admiral Byrd declined to discuss the Nautilus expedition beyond saying: "Sir Hubert Wilkins is one of the world's best fellows."
