She returned homo in the early morning and went to bed in a room in which another womj ,n slept. Macpherson left his boots a< ; the gate, entered the house, and shot , the sleeping girl through the temple. The other womai i in the room did not hear him, as sh<» was very deaf.

Later Macphersa n's, dead body was found outside. Tru a cause of his death was a shot wound..
