AUCKLAND,

This Day.

Mrs. Mary Eliza Sandford, aged S3, of Ferguson street, Herno Bay, was fatally injured when knocked down by a car in Ponsonby road last night. She alighted from her son's ear to shop and passed in front of a stationary car to cross the road. She was struck by a car driven by Mervyn Moore, of Hamilton road, Herno Bay.
