SPEEDWAY FINALE
Events to be decided at the Kilbirnie Stadium Speedway to-night should make tho final meeting of the season a notable one. W. Kilmister, who is leaving tor England shortly, will start the proceedings with an attack on the record, and he has only to repeat his form against' Mattson to give the existing figures a shaking. Another mission of the local champion to-niglit will be to beat off the challenges by L. van Praag, the Australian who is credited with having established a new world's record. The racing between these two stars should be full of thrills, and there will be a further plentiful supply m the series of special contests for the Golden Helmet for which trophy there are nine claimants. Another big event on the programme is the handicap, in which there will be six heats. All events should make a fitting wind-up to the season's activities, and the last chance of experencing speedway thrills should not be missed.
