Book-Jovers in.New Zealand will be interested to know that Mrs. K. Thornton Cook (nee Miss !E. P. Prentys, of Invercargill, and a former contributor to Kevv Zealand newspapers under tlie pen name of; "Maprilaiicicil") has completed the fifth of her "E6y.il" series. It is to be entitled "Kings-iii-the-Mak-ing: The Princes of Wales." It gives the lives of all the holders of the titles down to the present day. H.B.H. the Prince of Wales has accepted dedication. This history, writtenv from the lighter side, contains some fine illustrations, published by His Majesty's permission, and some with that of the Archbiihop of Canterbury. Other books in this series are "Her Majesty" (Romance of the Queens of Englant!, 10G6-1010), "Their Majesties of Scotland," "lioyn.l Elizabeths" (the Kom.'iTice of Vive Princesses, 1464-1840), and "lloyal Marys" (Princess Mary and Her Predecessors). Miss N. Scanlan's first novel is to ho published this month. "The Top Step" is the selected title, and its appearance is anticipated with interest.
