"THE SEA FAIRIES' PARTY"
The fairy Sea Queen was very busy 'arranging for tho party, when thore jjvas a knock on tho seaweed door. "Come in," sho said. , • The door opened, and in. came a amall hhrimp. , "Please, your Majesty, thoro is a big monster outside, and ho says if he is not invited to tho party ho will cat me up." , . "Go and tell tho guards at , tho palace door to lock him up in.the prison." , .V "All right, your Majesty." , So oft' went the little shrimp and told Jhe guards. Then the little shrimp swam ont or tho door, and a big wave nearly washed him ashore. Struggling very hard to get back to the sea palace, something . very white banged up against him. Ho looked round to see what it was, and he nearly died with joy. There staring at him was a sheet of newspaper, and ho picked it up, and gave it to tho queen "to read. The top of ■tho page had on it, "Sea Page," At the party that night everybody read the page, and "they all, thanked tho little shrimp for finding it, and they enjoyed tho party vary much. The great monster was .locked up for ji wholo week, and then tho guards lot him go. Ho never came near tho palace again.; ■ ■ "MABY ANNE." (13) Kelburn.
