DIFFICULTY IN NAPIER

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) HASTINGS, 26th March. Tho shortage of schoolrooms for primary education in Napier is causing considerable couceru. As a result of the earthquake only six rooms in the town are available for occupation. At the end of the 1930 school year there were in use no fewer than 47 rooms. Eleven rooms in (he undamaged portion of the Hastings Street School are not available for primary education owinrr to the premises being taken over by° tho Post and Telegraph Department. The primary school roll for Napier, which at the end of last yrnr totalled 2130, is at present- 91u.
