RATES OUTSTANDING
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) HASTINGS, This Day. The effect of the earthquake on Hastings finances is shown by I lie; met l.liat out of £50,15-1 levied as rates for all purposes only £22,339 has been paid, and £,27,813 is outstanding. On 31st March, 1030, of £35,000 levied only £700 wan outstanding. The Borough Council was expecting payment of £20,000 on the week of ilio disaster.
