ISLAND BAY TOURNAMENT

The final of the one-day bowling tournament at Island Bay was played yesterday afternoon, when the Ncwtown rink defeated Hataitai. The scores were: Hansen, Carmen, Warwick, Baker, 23; M'Crea, Bertram, Anstey, Brighting, 18. The trophies were presented by Mr. J. M. Hale, president of the Island Bay. Bowling Club. The entry fees, amounting to £16, go to the earthquake relief fund. In the third game of the series between City aud Eastbourne members of the Eastbourne Bowling Club, to be played this week-end, the city members will be represented by the following; rinks: M'Leod, Kean, Rodger, Doherly; Naucarrow, Nelson, Wyjie, Goodwin; Burkett, Simmonds, Liddle, Longmore; Topp, Gyles, Marshall, M'unroe: Bauditiet, Gibb, M'Coll, O'Donncll; Guise, Jacobs, Goldfinch, Duff.
