RIO DE JANEIRO, 2oth March,

The Prince of Wales and Prince George arrived on Wednesday morning on the Alcantara. While the forts and warships fired n salute, . the British Ambassador, Sir William Seeds, and Senhor Maurizio Nabuoo, of tho Foreign Office, representing the Brazilian Government, boarded the Alcantara at Quarantine to greet the Princes.

Tho streets along the route followed to the Guanabara Palace- were lined with soldiers and .thronged with crowds. The Government decreed a half-holi-day.

At Santos, where the Alcnntnrn called on Monday, tho Princes were met by officials, and a huge, enthusiastic crowd, hfehidiiig practically the whole British colony.
