(To the Editor.) Si rj I read with much interest G.T.AV.'s letter, in -which he desires me to explain "why the Island Bay Memorial Band Rotunda should be posterity's glaring example of philological ineptitude." I can see no reason at all why posterity should be blamed for the carelessness of the present generation. This seems to be a. question for someone possessing ■wisdom, vision, depth of understanding— in fact, omniscience: it points, therefore, to the only possible adjudicator—the one and only Percy Flage.—l am, etc., L.
