The total value of all overseas exports for the port for the year ended 30th September, 1030, was £11,685,333, compared with £14,677,5-19 in the previous year, a decrease of £2,992,216. The main exports were: Cheese, £2,----784,810; butter, £2,147,965; wool, £.2,049,633; frozen meat, £1,996,515; skins and hides, £593,689;' apples and pears, £483,313; sausage casings, £344,910; hemp and tow, £179,121; tallow, £158,291. The value of all imports was £16,----107,499, compared with £16,573,862, for the previous year, a decrease of £466,---563. Of tho total imports £11,078,185 were- from British possessions. Imports from the United Kingdom increased V £103,499, while from the United States there was a decrease of £552,----785, and from Canada a decrease of £252,241. ■ Australian imports, which increased by £266,875, include £250,----000 of specie. There was a small increase in the value of imports from Italy, the Dutch East Indies, and from the Netherlands, and decreases from Japan, Germany, France, Ceylon, India, Belgium, Switzerland, and South Africa.
