BRICK CONSTRUCTION
SCHOOL IN DIFFICULTY

AUCKLAND, This Day
Anxiety concerning the position at the Takapuna Grammar School, where work on a brick- addition has been suspended since the earthquake, and dissatisfaction with the progress of the investigation promised by the Minister of Education, were expressed by members of the Grammar School's Board yesterday. It was stated that with the alterations left in their present condition the work of the school would be severely interfered with during the winter, while tho headmaster reported that hs would take no responsibility for the health of the pupils. The question was raised by the Teceipt of a telegram, from the Minister, stating that arrangements were being made for an inspection and report, adding that . until a decision was reached tho board would have to use temporary accommodation. "There is no temporary' accommodation available," said * the chairman, Professor Thomas.
