AN AIR PILOT FINED

HAMILTON, 25 th March

A case of interest to aviation circles was heard in the Hamilton Police Court to-day when Stanley James Blaekinore, a local pilot, was convicted for trick flying over the town on 16th February.

The evidence showed that the defendant came down from an altitude of 1800 feet to about 1200 feet and went into a partial loop. This was repeated several times.

The defence submitted that a loop was in effect a stalling turn and was not- a. dangerous manoeuvre as was suggested. A. fine of -iOe -was imposed.
