RED CROSS FIGURES

In regard to the number of people returning to Hawkes Bay, the Bed Cross Society reports that 1966 adults and 623 children, have passed through the society's office to date. Tickets covering railway transport can be had on application to the Bed Cross Registration Depot on the second floor of the Burlington Arcade.

Tho District Public Trustee at Hastings (Mr. C. B. Hendry) has written to tho Bed Cross secretary (Captain M. S. Galloway), at the direction of the Hastings Earthquake Belief Committee, convoying the sincere appreciation of tho people of Hastings for the splendid work of the Red Cross in Wellington in looking after the vevy large number of refugees from Hastings in Wellington.
