ALTERNATIVE SUGGESTED

SYDNEY., This Day. As an alternative to his proposed salary taxation, tho Federal Public Service unions have informed Mr. Scullin that they are prepared to recommend their members to accept,_ as from Ist April, an annual cost-of-liying variation. This would involve a reduction of about 7s weekly, operative from Ist July.
