RELIEF FUND CONCERT

The earthquake . relief funds ._ received material help last night by means of a concert given in the hall of St. Andrew's Church. The entertainment was provided by the '•'Rendezvous Ramblers," who liad the assistance .of well-known local artists. Mr. Marcus Marks was a 'genial'chairman who helped-to keep matters going. Mrs. Outtenden was responsible for the excellent and yaried programme. • Mrs. Wakelih acted as accohip.anjst and "contributed piano solos', whilst songs were, given' by Miss Fuller and Mr. James Fordie. There was humour-from Mr./W. Kitchener; recitations by' Miss Tui Hall; and sketches by Miss D.: Seymour, Miss M. Fan-ant, Mr. R. M'Kenzie, and the "Rendezvous Ramblers." The performers defrayed all expenses, so the whole of the collection taken up goes to the Red Cross relief, 'fund.. ,
