The Winter Shove Association anaouncv that the new cycle stadium-will be openeil j next Saturday, when the Wellington : Centre of the New Zealand Union of ■ Cyclists will conduct its provincial cham- , pionships. Seating accommodation has been provided for four thousand, and somei fifty men are at present engaged on tlie j earthworks under No. 5 relief scheme. The : track will be available for cyclists to i make first tests late to-morrow after- ! noon, and several of Wellington's leading i riders will try the track out. Owing to j the earthworks not having yet taUr settled, it has been found inadvisable to ; pave the track with a concrete ..■ and in the meantime it is being W<l; ■with cinders and rolled. . .
