MR. A. D. M'GAVOCK

APPOINTED

The Commissioner of State Forests (the Hon. E. A. Ransom) announc-ed to-day tho appointment of Mr. A. D. M' Gavock, ,at present Assistant Director of Forestry,- as Director of Forestry, vice Mr. E. Phillips Turner, who relinquishes that position as from the end of the present month.

Mr. M' Gavock has been associated with the Forestry Department' since 1921, when he was promoted to the position of. Conservator of Forests for the Westland region.

The Minister stated that it was not intended to fill the position of Assistant Director.
