Work on the Campanile. site proceeded [Without incident yesterday, and' was re■umed this morning- with one additional man. . '••'"■','■■.■ ■ " ■ ' ' The job was visited to-day by the Secretary of the labour Department . (Mr. Newton), the secretary of the .Wellington Unemployment Committee (Mr^ P. Kinsman), the chairman of rth& executive .of • the local, Unemployment Committee (Mr. J. I. Goldsmith), and the secretary of the General Lab-1 ourers' Union (Mr. P. Butler) to investigate' the position generally. Nineteen men were working there to-day. .It is pointed out by Mr. Butler that there are three carpenters and several other tradesmen amongst the men working; ■
