A Press Association message from'1 Dunedin aunounces the death of Mr. V. ~ Z. Moore, barrister, aged 58, head of ths legal firm of Messrs. Moore, Moore, and' Nichol. Amongst guests at the Eoyal Oak Hotel are Mr. M. Lennan (Sydney), and Mr. W. Howard Booth (Cartertou). Deep regret at the death of Mr. B. Herron is expressed in the annual report of the Wellington Eugby Beferecs' Association, and sympathy is extended to the widow and family of the late member, who was one of the senior referees. Amongst others.staying at the Hotel St. George are Mr. H. W. Frost (Auckland), Mr. L. K. Bambergcr' (NewYork), Mr. P. Furnivall (England), and. Messrs. W. and F. Bogerson (England). The Kcv. Robert Blair and Mrs. Blair returned to the Dominion yesterday by, the Monowai from Sydney. They resigned from the directorship of the Otago School of Religious Education in. 1927 to further their studies in general and religious education iii the United States. Upon the completion of their final studies at Boston University, Yale, and Harvard Universities, they decided to revisit England, with a view to bringing their knowledge 'of educational theory and practice up to date. During a month in Scotland thay had opportunity to meet the moulders of religious thought, and as guests, of tho Educational Institute, of Scotland, meeting in Aberdeen in December, they had contact with the educational leaders of Scotland. ' Contacts were made in. Birmingham and London and elsewhere. Tj his previous attainments Mr. Blair has added the degree of Ed.M., Harvard Graduate School of Education, 1930, and has completed the residence requirement for the Ed.D. in the Philosophy of Education.
