The "Labour Daily" reports that tho miners in the Newcastle districts have endorsed tho creation of a "Workers' Defence Army" of five thousand, at present unemployed, including many returned soldiers, who, according to the miners' vice-president, Mr. Kellock, will make their presence felt when the crucial moment arrives. The people behind the meetings in the Kiverina and northern areas are organising for a military dictatorship and the industrial movement accepts tho challenge."
