NEW ZEALAND INDUSTBY. A new conception of the size of Commercial Afforestation in New Zealand is given by the following statement by N.Z. Perpetual Forests, Ltd.: "Although only planting since 1925 the Company has already paid out to workers over £400,000 in wages.^hese figures of course do not include wages for the clerical and executive side of tho business. "In addition to this tremendous sum paid out in wages, over £200,000 has been spent in the purchase of' commodities, food, implements, tools, etc., the production of which has created employment in other spheres."—Advt.
