OUTING FOR CHILDREN
Members of tho Wellington Automobile Club took over 700 children from homes and orphanages in and aroknd Wellington for motor drives on Saturday afternoon. A start was made from near tho main wharf gates and the children were taken through the city and suburbs and out into the country. Toys and balloons were given to hire youngsters, all of whom were delighted with the 'treat, which is an annual undertaking by Automobile Club members. The happy young passengers were collected from the following homes: —Tho Levin ' Memorial: Homo, Berhampore, St. Joseph's Orphanage, Upper Hutt, St. Mary's Home, Karon, the Children's Hospital, Newtown, the Presbyterian Girls' Home,.lsland- Bay, the Presbyterian Boys' Junior and Senior Homes, Berhampore, tho Salvation Army Girls' Home, Newtown, the Salvation Army Boys' Home, Wallaceville, tho Anglican-Boys' Home, Lower Hutt, the Home of Compassion, Island-Bay, tho Nai Nai Boys,' Home, Lower Hutt', and the Government Eeoeiving Home', Miramar. ■ .
