MR. A. D. PARK APPOINTED
Tlio Prime Minister (the Right Hon. G. W. Forbes) announced to-day that the. Government had decided to appoint Mr. A. I). Pa,rk, F.1.A.N.Z., F.K.A.N.Z., to the position of Financial Adviser to the Government, rendered vacant by the death of Mr. 11, E. Hayes. Mr. Park at present occupies <lie position of Permanent Head of Ihe Treasury,. and in. addition is chairman of tho Local Government Loans Board, which positions ho will, continue to hold1 in addition to that of Financial Ad-. visin1. .... Under Section--!) ot: the Finance Act, 1929,. tho Financial. Adviser is a member 'of the investment' boards.:— • Public- Trust Investment Board. Government Insurance Board. ■ State Fire Insurance Board. ' Native Trnst Office Board. State Advances Board. Rural Intermediate Credit Board. Public Service Superannuation Board. Teachers' Superannuation Board. Government Railways Superannuation Board, and any other board that may at any time be charged with the control or investment of public moneys.
