The weather to-day on the range has been difficult. Marksmen who went down early had the best of conditions. The light was subdued but otherwise the weather, was food Later the wind increased from tlie feft and, in addition, there was. a changing light and heavy mirage when the competitors moved back, to the 900 yards mound. At 800 yards J. H. Thompson (Rangiwahia) andl<\ O.Hay (Sydenhum) registered possibles. However, at 900 yards ihompson scored 41 and Hay dropped to SU, which spoilt their chances.
