MISS AMERICA IX.

(Eeceived 21st March, 2 p.m.) MIAMI BEACH, 20th March. Gar Wood set a new world speed* boat record on Friday, with an average two-way speed of 100.6 miles an hour over a measured mile course in Indian Creek, with Miss America IX. Wood later set a faster record of 101.154 miles an hour, the average of two runs. Wood also established a nautical mila record of 102.256 miles.
