SERIOUS TROUBLES

DELHI, 20th March. Communal rioting in the United Provinces has assumed serious proportions. Eleven were killed and two injured near Mir/.apore. The trouble started when a Moslem scut a dead calf to a Hindu, upon which the Hindus, armed with guns and spears, raided several Moslem houses, dragged the people out, killed them, and set n're to the houses. The city of Agra is in a panic. Students of St. .Tohn's College were attacked by butchers with carving knives. Guerilla warfare has developed between the different factions, and has necessitated police interference.
