TO VISIT MALTA
IIOYAL COMMISSION
PERSONNEL ANNOUNCED
(British Ofilcial Wireless.) BTJGBY, 19th March. The Prime Minister, in the House of Common?, announced the composition of the Royal Commission on Malta. By the terms of reference, tho commissioners arc "to visit Malta, and consider the existing political situation in the island, and to make such recommendations as may seem to them desirable as to the steps which should be taken to deal with it, with special reference to the possibility of re-estabhshmg constitutional government." The Commission will consist or Lord Askwith, well known for his work as an arbiter in industrial disputes in Great Britain (chairman); Sir Walter Ef-erton, the distinguished colonial administrator, formerly Governor ot Southern Nigeria and British Guiana; and Count de Salis, one-time British Envoy Extraordinary to the Pope. It is expected that the Commission will arrive in Malta early in April.
