PICTON EXCURSION

Easter Monday holiday-makers will have the chance this year of a run across the Strait to Picton and of seeing some of the beauties of Queen Charlotte Sound. The Wahine is announced to leave Wellington at 8 in the morning on that day for Picton, where she should arrive about a quarter to 11, a great part _of the trip being in calm watf in Wellington bour or the Sounds. For passengers who wish to go on to Blenheim, the Railway Department will be running a special train. Special launches will also run to some of the beauty spots? about the Sound, in some ca9es lunch being obtainable nt accommodation houses nearby. An attraction to some will be a Rugby football match between the Poneko Club from Wellington and a Marlborough team. The Wahine will leave Picton on the return trip a little after 2 p.m., arriving in Wellington about 5 p.m.
