BOXING
i Before returning to Australia, which he is due to do on the 7th April, Blny will be seen in two final contests in Wellington. ' On Monday he is scheduled to meet Thomas, and on Tuesday, 31st March, he will make his final appearance, against Whitlow. In his two contests in Wellington thus far, Blay has decisively defeated his two opponents, although on a second meeting with Donovan at New Plymouth the Taranaki champion proved a much harder proposition than when in Wellington. Particular interest attaches to Monday's contest, as Thomas, on his .record in America, was expected to more1 than extend any featherweight on this side of the globe, and although he was not impressive in his meeting with Hughes, he was nervous on making his first appearance, and a very different exhibition may be expected on "Monday if Thomas- boxes up to his American standard. The box plan will close on Monday afternoon.
