WELLINGTON EAST OLD GIRLS
Tho annual gathering o£ old- pupils of the Wellington East Girls' College was held recently. In tho afternoon tennis and basketball matches were played.and a relay race ,was run. ■Early evening tea was' sorved afterwards, Miss Batham, Miss Collins^'Mrs. Hpldsworth, and Colonel Mitchell being present. , > The fifth amnir-1 goneral meeting took place later, this meeting also serving as a welcomo to Miss Batham, ivvho had been absent on a - year's • tour abroad. Miss Batham presided. The election of officers resulted:— Patroness, .Mrs. Holds-worth; president, Miss Batham; vice-presidents, tho staff, M. Barker, Jl. East, M. M'Crea; honorary secretary, K. White; assistant secretary, J. Mitchell; honorary treasurer, D. Carson; committee, M.. Windsor, M. Parker,Jß. Rawlo, M. Stone, V. Stone, A. Carson, D,-,Cunningham, V. Kennedy. The retiring secretary, Miss M. East, roceived a presentation and a bouquet in appreciation of her services as secretary during tho past iivo years. '
