Howden, Timar'u, have rdturned home. Lady Bobb, England, who has beeri the guest of -Mrs. Howard Tripp, Timaru,' is now staying at' Government House, Wellington.. The Hon. Mrs. Peters, England, who has been staying with Mrs. W. H. Helmore, Timaru, arrived in Wellington yesterday morning. - Mrs. 0. .H. Bengjp; Wadestown, is tho guest "of Captain and} Mrs.' Wales, Eemuera, Auckland, for, a few weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Barnett left yesterday by tho Ulimaroa for Sydney, en route to England. Gillingham, KcTburn, . has loft for a visit to South Africa. Mrs. H. Home,' Blenheim, who has been visiting Wanganui, is the guest of Mrs. J. Aston, Glenmore streot. . Mrs: H. R. Thomas, Kelburn, is the guest of her sister, Mrs. Gill, Masterton. ' i Mr. and Mrs. Raebum-Suthcrland, Wellington, have left'for a tour of tho North Island. Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Munro, St. Kilda, Duncdin, are motoring in the' North Island. Mr. and Mrs..W. D. Stewart left last Mvoning for the South. ' Dr. and Mrs.-Wilson arrived in Wellington last evening, and are staying at tho Hotel Cecil. They are leaving for England next .week. * A presentation took place at the Public Works Department recently, when Mr. F. W. Furkert (on behalf of the Department) "presented Miss 0. Campbell and'Mv. D. M. Grover'with a silver ,tea service, oak tray, and a set of cutlery, on the occasion of their approaching marriage. The bride-elect has been the guest of honour at some very pleasant "pantry teas" and "kitchen evonings" lately. , " •
