MOTOR MECHANICS FAILURE
A meeting of creditors in the fcankrupt estate of Richard Wedderspoon, motor mechanic,, was held at the office of tho Official Assignee (Mr. S. Tans : Icy) yesterday. ""The statement of accounts showed: Amount owing to unsecured creditors, £230 11s; book debts, £31,3s 2d; defici; ency £199 7s 10d. The principal creditors were:—Sir K. Douglas, £80; Inglis Bros., Ltd., £27 13s lOd; Dominion Bubber Company, £21. In his sworn statement, bankrupt said that for some years he carried on business in Kent terace. He relinquished that business in August, 1930. ThevproceCds of the- sale were retained by a creditor for rent. He had been out of work for two months. He had got some temporary work at £4 19s a week, out of which he paid £1 a week for car and train fares. His rent was £1 17s 6d a week. He attributed his failure to inability to collect book debts, to the cost of sickness! in his family, and to the depression in trade. The Oil&eial Assignee said he was afraid that all lie could do was to collect as much as he could of the book debts. The meeting was adjourned sine die.
