Miss Aroha Clifford and her father, Mr. W. L. Clifford, who returned from England yesterday, left for Christchurch last evening. They wore accompanied by Mr. Clifford's daughter, Mrs. Sheriff-Hilton, England, and her small son. Miss G. Trolove, "The Shades," Marlborough, arrived in Wellington yesterday, and is the guest of Miss Helen Whyte, Talavera terrace. Miss Phyllis Agar, who has spent several months in Wellington with her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Agar, Tinakori road, left to-day by tho Ulimaroa for Sydney, en route to her home in Melbourne. Mrs. Churches, Marton, is the guest of Dr. and Mrs. J. Hutchison, Petone. Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Stewart, formerly of Wellington, arrived from Sydney this week, and arc staying at the Royal Oak Hotel, prior to leaving for Dun odin to visit their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Stewart. Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Holmes arrived in Wellington yesterday by the Eangitano from India. "Mr. nd Mrs. W. A. Love, Melbourne, who are touring New Zealand, arrived yesterday in Wellington, and are staying at Saves Court. Miss Cynthia Hewitt (Cambridge), and Miss Toan Gaisford (Marton) are the guests of Mrs. Geoffrey Goodwin, Lower Hutt. Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Myers, who have been staying with Sir Michael and Lady Myers, Kelburn, have left for their home in Dunedin. Mrs. A. Neville, Auckland, is paying a visit to Wellington. Miss Philippa Nairn, Hastings, is the guest of Miss Olive M'llraith, Merivale, Chriatchurch. Miss Betty Lewis, Hastings, who has been visiting England, arrived mo Wellington yesterday by the Eangitane. Mrs. Percy Cox (.Christchurch) and her sister, Miss Fox (Timaru), arrived in Wellington yesterday morning for a visit. Mrs. Hi F. Norman, Tinakori road, will leave to-night to visit her brother at Fairlie. The Misses Hooper arrived in Wellington yesterday by the Eangitane from England. They will motor through the North Island and will then visit Australia. Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Jones, Wellington, are staying at Warner's Hotel, Christchurch. Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Norton, Wellington, are visiting Teinuka. Miss Nancy Whitchead, Wellington, who has been visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. S. Whitehoad, Timaru, will return North to-morrow. Mrs. W. S. Ferguson and her two sons, who arrived by the Eaugitano from England yesterday, are the guests of Mrs. Petcrsen, Upland road, liclburn. Mrs. Mitchell and Miss M'Laren (Martinborough) are visiting Wellington, and arc staying at the Empire Hotel. Mrs. B. Wilson, of Auckland, is visiting Wellington, and is staying at the Eoyal Oak Hotel. Mrs. H. E. Fisher, Karori, is the guest of Mrs. Leslie Maunsell, "Eridgc," Masterton, where she will give an address on gardening at the opening meeting of the Mothers' Union, of which Mrs. Maunsell is the president. Among the New Zealanders recently in London, the "Post's" representative mentions the following Wellington people: Mrs. S. Turner, Miss J. Turner, Misses Laing, Mrs. T. 0. Price, Mr. and Mrs. D. Hope Johnston, and Miss Hope Johnston. Also Colonel D. A. Chaytor (Blenheim), Miss G. Scifert (Palmerston North), and Miss E. M. Uniacke (Stratford).
